Courage

Courage is doing what is right for you when no-one else thinks it is!!

So step outside your comfort zone, give it a try.....don't wonder "what if?"

Sometimes suffering brings us the freedom and confidence to make bold choices about how we want to live the rest of our lives.

Believe in the power of your spirit.

Difficult journeys can offer us the chance to learn that we are loved and cared about.

I count myself fortunate to have had this chance to know so clearly and so strongly.

"Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall."
~~ Confucious

This post is very inspiring for me today Peggy, I am feeling a bit down and tired from a bit of a cold this week.

One always has self-respect. No matter what they take away from you - that's yours for keeps.

@Christine - Pleased the post helped your situation. When we are sick it is difficult to be cheery and optimistic. Sending healing light your way. xxxx

@Mike - Well said my friend. Self-respect and self-esteem are different. Self-esteem comes from how we think and feel about our-self. Self-respect comes from what we do.

I've been outside my comfort zone many times. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't. But you never know til you try!

Failure is a great teacher but you do need to have the right attitude when it occurs. It's been said in the engineering world that if the projects/developments don't have some failures then your team is not trying hard enough to advance the task/product.

@Debra - I like your attitude my friend! Keep shining xxxx

@Bill - How interesting about the engineering world's projects. You are a mountain of information Bill, so pleased we are blog friends. xxx

Inspiring words. There are no failures only learning experiences! On the theme of courage, I do sometimes wonder whether it is a quality or rather a circumstance. What I mean is that sometimes you have no choice but to be brave - because the alternative is so dire. Is courage always a choice? George Michael touches on this thought in his beautiful song 'You Have Been Loved', with the words "And what we have to learn we rarely choose." I'm glad you keep writing your blog Peggy! xxx

Just what I needed to hear today to go, sometimes we just have to trust in the power of the spirit indeed and follow our intuition. Wise words Peggy.

@BeautifulSky - Thanks for leaving a thoughtful comment Celia. Choice is an interesting observation regarding courage and being brave, circumstances would definitely come into play I feel.
Another thought - is desire more important than courage? If you want it bad enough. If you hunger for it, desire it, covet it. You’ll make it happen.
I haven't hear that George Michael song-just played it - very sensual.

@Marja - I am a huge believer in the power of the spirit and following our intuition. That still, small voice, more of a feeling than a voice - a whispery sensation that pulsates just beneath the surface of our being. All animals have it. We're the only creatures that deny and ignore it.
Take care xxxx
